In this talk I will provide an overview of my research activities in computational acoustic and aeroacoustics, particularly using hybrid numerical methods such computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-boundary element method (BEM). An efficient boundary element method for periodic structures will be introduced and some of its applications in flow-induced noise prediction will be discussed.
